We have an opportunity for a Materials Analyst to join our Chardon, OH team. You will be responsible for managing procurement activities, analyzing demand forecasts, and ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet production needs, the activities can be associated with a specific value stream or site level.

You will:

  • Procurement Management: Oversee the purchasing of materials and components to ensure timely availability for production and operational needs.
  • Demand Forecasting: Analyze market trends and demand forecasts to optimize inventory levels and purchasing strategies.
  • Supplier Negotiation: The material analyst will provide support to the Sourcing Team that is charge of negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize excess stock while ensuring product availability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as production, logistics, and finance, to align procurement strategies with business objectives.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is typically required.
  • Experience: 3+ years of previous experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential. Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems is often required.
  • ERP/MRP Systems experienced user. (JDE, AS400, QAD, SAP,) JDE is a Plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms.
  • Good interpersonal skills; can easily relate and work well with people.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Leadership ability to ensure effective teamwork.
  • Decision-making ability to resolve problems, prioritize multiple tasks and disposition material.
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to and help drive continual change.
  • LEAN/Six SIGMA practices.
  • 5% travel.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $61200 - $113600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
