What to Expect
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the mechanical aspects of our AI Infrastructure and data center products. This role focuses on physical design, mechanical layout, mounting hardware, sheet metal enclosures, wire harnesses, and system integration in the field. The ideal candidate will ensure our products are mechanically robust, manufacturable, and thermally optimized.
What You'll Do
- Design mechanical layouts for PCBAs, including component placement constraints, mounting features, and clearance requirements
- Create structural hardware to securely support PCBs in various product configurations
- Develop thin sheet metal designs for enclosures, chassis, and covers using appropriate materials and manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, bending, laser cutting)
- Design and document wire harnesses and cable assemblies, including connector selection, routing, and strain relief
- Collaborate closely with electrical/hardware engineers during PCB layout to ensure mechanical feasibility and proper integration
- Perform tolerance analysis, stack-up studies, and design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews
- Participate in prototype builds, assembly testing, and iterative design improvements
- Provide support on thermal design, analysis, and validation of electronic assemblies
- Generate detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using CAD software
- Ensure designs meet industry standards for mechanical reliability, safety, and environmental requirements
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field,or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for electronics products
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software
- Strong experience with mechanical PCB layout, mounting hardware, thin sheet metal design, and wire harnesses
- Hands-on knowledge of wire harness and cable assembly design
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, and injection molding
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team

Expected Compensation
$130,400 - $195,600/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
