What We Are Looking For3D Systems is seeking an experienced Multi-Shift Production Supervisor to lead and develop Machine Operators on a Monday through Friday schedule while driving safety, quality, and on-time production. What You Will Do
- Lead and support approximately eleven Machine Operators on 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts, applying best practices to build a cohesive, high-performing team
- Train and guide team members to identify non-conformances, strictly follow PPE requirements, support 6S processes, and maintain exceptional workmanship standards
- Make independent, sound decisions and resolve operational issues, particularly during off-shift or weekend operations when senior leadership is not onsite
- Coordinate daily with the Scheduling Team and Manufacturing Build Team to ensure strict adherence to machine schedules, capacity plans, and build priorities in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Coach and develop Team Leads, ensuring consistent execution of production standards in a regulated metal manufacturing environment
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancements and efficiency gains while maintaining the highest quality standards for medical device components
- Foster a positive, engaging work culture that balances accountability with teamwork and actively recognizes employee contributions
- Ensure proper use of respiratory protection (full face, half face, and/or powered air-purifying respirators) during metal powder exposure tasks, coordinating fit testing and annual re-certifications supported by 3D Systems
- Demonstrate flexibility with work schedule, including the ability to provide coverage, adjust hours, and support off-shift or weekend operations as business needs require
Qualifications
What You Will Bring
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Supervisory experience or a demonstrated progression into leadership, including Machine Operators or Team Leads who have shown strong potential to step into people leadership within a manufacturing environment such as a machine shop, medical device company, parts finishing operation, or other regulated setting
- Demonstrated ability-or clear readiness-to lead, train, and positively influence production teams, driving accountability, performance, and engagement through hands-on leadership and continuous development
- Strong attention to detail with a consistent commitment to quality and compliance in safety- and quality-critical manufacturing environments
- Working knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and PPE requirements
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the confidence to operate independently when needed
- Clear, effective communication and interpersonal skills that foster collaboration and team alignment
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement process and efficiency enhancements
- Availability to work a Monday through Friday, first-shift schedule, with flexibility to support overtime as operational needs require
- Ability to work with export-controlled products, including access to technical information related to defense and aerospace manufacturing customers
