This project is being funded by the State of New Mexico in cooperation with the Department of Workforce Solutions. This position will meet with the unhoused in the community to survey individuals and help ascertain the needs and conditions of unhoused populations. This New Mexico based study engages a partnership network that spans academic institutions, community health services, and government bodies. The study aims to provide actionable data to inform targeted interventions by community and public health groups, clinical organizations, and academic institutions. This position will serve a key role by meeting with community members one on one to collect data. The Department of Internal Medicine is a large, progressive department with a diverse staff working in dedicated teams to provide quality work in an organized, effective, and efficient manner through innovation, training, and education. Through our collaborative work effort, we support the faculty and enhance the missions of the department, school, Health Sciences Center, and University. Minimum Qualifications Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. Preferred Qualifications Comfortable working on a team and independently in the community. Experience working with one on one with vulnerable populations. Eagerness to participate in research.
