The Reproductive Medicine Clinic at Stony Point provides care to females ranging in age from 20-40 years old. We serve a diverse patient population that includes heterosexual couples, same-sex couples, transgender patients, single parents by choice, gestational carriers and beyond. We also provide care to certain adolescent endocrine diagnoses that impact fertility and reproductive organs and collaborate closely with the VCU Urology team for male patients in need of fertility support and/or treatment. Our team of RNs, LPNs and CMAs support 2 physicians and 1 APP and there is a strong emphasis on collaboration between disciplines to meet the varying needs of our patients. The clinic has an onsite procedure room and embryology lab so our nurses serve as both the pre and post-op RN and circulating nurses. Our nurses serve patients from the initial workup through the first trimester and provide patient education, empathy and psychological support throughout the patient's fertility journey. The expert care we provide truly makes a difference in the patient's life and family. In order to best serve the unpredictable nature of fertility procedures, our clinic is open Monday-Saturday and our team members work 4 9-hour shifts and 1 4-hour shift each week. Availability to work 1 weekend per month is required. Previous procedural experience is preferred.

The Medical Assistant provides direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and the plan of care under the direction of the physician.
