Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, integrity, and timely repair of production machinery and facility systems. This role supports preventative maintenance programs, troubleshoots mechanical and electrical issues, and performs repairs to minimize downtime. The position requires strong technical skills, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment to reduce unplanned downtime
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment
- Inspect, test, and operate machinery to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs
- Maintain and repair motors, instrumentation, distribution systems, and feed control systems
- Complete assigned work orders within established timelines and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Assist with equipment changeovers and production line startups
- Identify required replacement parts and support inventory management and reordering
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, GMP, and OSHA standards
- Ensure all equipment and processes meet quality and safety requirements
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide recommendations for process enhancements
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve equipment and production issues
Job Requirements
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and equipment repair
- Familiarity with safety standards, including lockout/tagout, GMP, and OSHA regulations
- Ability to use maintenance tracking systems and document work performed
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Work Experience
- Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or a related field preferred
