Culinary Support Roundsperson

We are seeking a passionate and versatile Culinary Support Roundsperson to join our team and help deliver high-quality, fresh food in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role offers the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, contribute to menu development, and work across multiple kitchen functions. You'll be part of a team that values quality, food safety, customer service, and continuous learning, with the chance to expand your expertise through cross-training and hands-on experience

This role supports the day-to-day employee experience at IDEXX by ensuring food is prepared safely, consistently, and to a high standard. It helps maintain smooth cafe operations and contributes to a workplace where employees can rely on quality service.

• You will prepare and serve food as directed by the Head Chef and/or Executive Chef

• You will provide culinary support including line cooking, food preparation, menu creation, and plating

• You will work across all venues and cross-train to support a variety of kitchen operations

• You will monitor sanitation practices and ensure compliance with food safety regulations

• You will maintain safe food handling procedures and promote a safe working environment

• You will clean and maintain cafe equipment and machinery

• You will deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional working relationships

• You will maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with CDC guidelines

• You will assist with maintaining kitchen organization and inventory alongside the Head Chef

• You will contribute to menu development in collaboration with culinary leadership

• You will perform other duties as assigned

• You will stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and arm movements

• You will walk frequently (approximately 3-5 miles per day)

• You will occasionally bend, climb, balance, kneel, or crouch

• You will lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

• You will demonstrate strong food preparation skills and the ability to produce a variety of dishes with quality and consistency

• You will assist in menu development and contribute creativity to culinary offerings

• You will be a strong team player and contribute both independently and collaboratively

• You will work with minimal supervision and make sound decisions when needed

• You will show commitment to quality, food safety, and customer service excellence

• You will utilize basic computer skills, including email usage

• You will give and receive constructive feedback and continuously improve

• An hourly rate target of $20-$23/hour based on experience
