Primary Function

Lochinvar in Lebanon, TN- a business unit of A.O. Smith.

Operates liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, clamps, or elevating platform, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. Ships and receives and inspects materials, stocks and pulls parts for production andmaintainsestablished inventory levels.

Responsibilities
  1. Read work orders, production schedules,partspullsheets, orfollow oral instructions toascertainmaterials or containers to be moved.Responsible for all paperwork on returns and manufacturing materials inbound and to be shipped.

    Inventory materials (including cycle counting, inventory control functions, where appropriate) on workfloor.

    Pull parts, or completed units, from storage or work areas todesignatedlocations (ex. intercompany transfers, local pickups, etc.) for production personnel and/or manufacturing needs.

    Inspect incomingproduct forquality (ex. product damage, ASME code requirements, etc.), verifies identification numbers and/or material grades and quantities.Document information related to receiving inspection.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Manufacturing experiencerequired

    Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge and navigationisrequired.

    Must be able to acquire Forklift and other PIV certifications once hired

Education
High School Diploma or GED
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
