*Job Description* The *Loss Mitigation Single Point of Contact (SPOC)* is responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for borrowers experiencing financial hardship. This role works directly with borrowers to evaluate and identify appropriate homeownership retention options for eligible *FNMA, FHLMC, USDA, FHA, and VA loans*.
The SPOC manages the loss mitigation process from application through resolution, including missing document followup, communicating approval or denial decisions, monitoring trial payment plans, and educating borrowers on available loss mitigation programs. All activities are performed in accordance with established *investor/insurer guidelines* as well as *state and federal regulations*. *Key Responsibilities* * Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned loan product(s), ensuring compliance with investor, insurer, and regulatory requirements. * Communicate with borrowers to explain loss mitigation options, eligibility requirements, and application processes, while accurately documenting all interactions in the servicing system. * Effectively communicate loss mitigation workout outcomes (approvals or denials), including loan modifications, payment deferrals/partial claims, forbearance plans, short sales, and deedsinlieu (DIL), in accordance with investor and insurer guidelines. * Coordinate the receipt of all required documentation and notify borrowers of any missing items needed to complete the loss mitigation application. * Assist with borrower mediations, meetings, and calls; provide loss mitigation options and follow up to obtain outstanding lien or judgment documentation. * Work with potential successorsininterest by educating them on documentation requirements and following up to ensure timely submission of required materials. * Review written borrower communications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to issuance. * Respond to escalated borrower inquiries and provide clear explanations of loss mitigation decisions, calculations, eligibility criteria, and outcomes. * Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. *Skills & Competencies* * Loss Mitigation * Customer Service * Loan Documentation Review * Mortgage Knowledge * Mathematical & Financial Calculations *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
