The impact you'll make

The Sr. Manager, Logistics Operations Program Manager at Lam Research is responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic implementation of programs across transportation, trade, and logistics operations. This role involves driving innovation, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing our internal users' experiences through the improvement of the inbound supplier TMS and processes.

What you'll do
  • Responsible for leading transformation initiatives by identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement and developing transformation roadmaps that align with organizational goals.
  • Defines clear problem statements, vision and plans, success criteria, business benefits, and accountability.
  • Manages cross-functional teams to ensure initiatives deliver measurable business value.
  • Drives operational transformation by leading changes in business processes, culture, and customer experiences to meet evolving business and market requirements.
  • Responsible for implementing digital improvements to existing operational processes and ensuring digital strategies align with overall business goals.
  • Trains employees on new programs and technologies, ensuring they are adopted and used effectively across the organization.
  • Monitors inbound TMS operations and results to ensure alignment with organizational goals and makes adjustments as necessary.
  • The role demands a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of logistics, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies.
Who we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is required, along with 6-8 years of management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ten years of experience in logistics and/or trade operations, with strong knowledge of operational processes, data, tools, and continuous improvement initiatives, including experience in business process reengineering within leading or fast-growth companies.
  • Subject matter expertise in SAP and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Proven ability to influence organizational change by driving partnerships and alignment across the organization.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across a global organization.
  • Five years of experience in business transformation programs.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills to effectively manage internal and external teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for coordinating with transportation suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of multiple transportation modes, U.S. Customs import and export requirements, and logistics procedures.
  • Ability to analyze data and optimize routes to recommend effective logistics solutions.
Preferred qualifications
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large data sets to support decision-making.
  • Ability to work with minimal direct guidance or supervision.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.
  • Strong understanding of best practices in the transportation industry and the ability to apply them in real-world scenarios.
  • Knowledge of enterprise systems (e.g., SAP ERP/IBP, TMS), including system implementation and project life cycles.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $137,000.00 -$287,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
