Hours and Pay



  • Salary: $105,000 annually + 6% bonus
  • Schedule: Full-time, onsite in a plant environment

Daily Responsibilities



  • Design, implement, and maintain PLC-controlled automation systems, industrial PCs, and robotics
  • Integrate motion control systems including servos, gantries, and position feedback devices
  • Support and optimize machine vision systems for inspection and alignment
  • Perform structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis on automation systems
  • Develop and validate safety-critical controls, including interlocks and fail-safe systems
  • Lead commissioning, testing, and acceptance of new automated equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on mechanical design, safety, and system integration
  • Analyze downtime data and drive preventive and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and PLC code archives
  • Update standard procedures and training materials to reflect system enhancements
  • Train operators and technicians on automation systems and troubleshooting techniques


Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls, Mechatronics, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or motion control systems
  • Strong experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley or similar platforms)
  • Knowledge of industrial networking and safety system design
  • Experience integrating sensors, cameras, and automated inspection systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams, technicians, and production staff
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices preferred
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed
