| Position Summary |
This position will be a Team Lead Housekeeper with responsibility for coordinating the work of other University Housekeepers within designated buildings on campus. This position will have contact with university faculty and staff, students and the general public. This position will be required to apply knowledge of cleaning techniques, the ability to interpret and follow direction as well as provide direction. This position is responsible for prioritizing work and applying time management skills to ensure that daily work and projects are completed in a timely manner. This position has responsibility for ensuring operational and safety procedures are followed and assessing non-routine matters and sending to higher levels of management when appropriate.
This position provides detail cleaning, basic repairs and maintenance duties, such as unclogging toilets and changing light bulbs using a 6-foot ladder prior to reporting to Supervisor for additional action. Moves furniture and brings in and sets up tables, chairs, etc. for events on campus. Performs general cleaning services, such as emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, stripping and refinishing floors, cleaning restrooms, windows and doors daily, using building checklist. All housekeeping equipment is maintained and problems reported daily.
