Responsibilities to Anticipate this Role
The Wire Harness Assembleris responsible for the assembly of raw parts and sub-assemblies by following in detail our standard work instructions.
  • Perform a wide range of complex electronic assembly and soldering operations on low voltage, high voltage, microwave or other components or subassemblies in accordance with military and/or other assembly standards using blueprints, visual aids, wiring lists, verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Reads and interprets work instructions to ensure accuracy of work performed.
  • Operate semi-automatic equipment such as crimp presses, sonic welder, and wire strippers.
  • Routes, wires, and assembles electronic components using wire layout boards.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process assemblies and finished products.
  • Prep components prior to assembly, clean components, wire bond, potting, seal, mark, and inspect components, subassemblies, or completed assemblies.
  • Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using hand tools.
  • Align, fit, or assemble component parts, using hand or power tools, fixtures, templates, or microscopes.
  • Capable of being trained across the entire product line and working with Engineering on new or emerging products as well as producing first articles.
  • Follow company guidelines and procedures
  • Responsible for being an active team participant in teamwork toward continuous improvement.
  • May be asked to perform some of the following offline tasks including quality checks, down-time reporting and housekeeping duties.
  • Performs other related duties to benefit the mission of the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing setting, wire harness assembly experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong soldering experience preferred.
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, work orders, and other written procedures.
  • Ability to be precise and work accurately, as small errors can cause major issues.
  • Electronic and Mechanical Assembly experience, including the use of Hand tools and Soldering Iron strongly desired.
  • Steady and precise hands, excellent vision, concentration, patience,and hand-eye coordination.
  • Keen interest in learning about harness building and manufacturing processes.
  • Must have excellent vision and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Comfortable using various power and hands tools.
  • Strong basic math skills and knowledge of measuring devices
  • Professional and effective communication skills a must
  • Excellent track record for attendance required - we need you here!
  • Flexibility is a must as OT may be required during the week and on the weekends
  • Great attitude and attendance are a must!
  • IPC-A-610, IPC-WHMA-620 and/or JSTD-001 certifications are considered a significant asset.
