WORK LOCATION:Hanscom AFB, MA

Salary Range: $120,000-$130,000

** depending on customer requirements when awarded

JOB STATUS:Full-time; salaried

CLEARANCE: MUST have active Secret clearance

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a SYSTEMS MODELER at HANSCOM AFB located in Bedford Massachusettsproviding support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Digital Directorate Aerospace Management SystemsDivision (AFLCMC/ESA). The Aerospace Management Systems Division programs, develops, delivers, and sustains air traffic management, CNS/ATM avionics expertise, and weather sensing/forecast capabilities enabling military, civil, and allied and foreign military sales customers to achieve their mission.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret level Clearance
  • Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a professional engineering discipline with 3 years directly related experience 3 must be within the DoD, OR

      • 7 years of directly related experience 5 of which must be in the DoD

PREFERRED QUALIFICIATIONS / SKILLS

  • Education:Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field
  • Years of experience:10+ years of experience with at least 5 years working in the DoD sector
  • Certifications: OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model Builder, Intermediate Certification
  • Experience in SysML model creation.

  • Experience with Cameo Enterprise Architect (highly desired).

  • Experience with Dassault software (3DExperience, Enovia, Catia) (desired).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Individual will provide Systems Modeler support that applies a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of system-based engineering to the acquisition process.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Develop, author, and maintain system architecture, network, and data flow diagrams for complex meteorological and communication systems
  • Lead and execute Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities using SysML, UML, and tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Create and manage digital engineering artifacts including accreditation boundaries, system topologies, and federated enterprise models
  • Brief senior government leadership, program managers, and technical teams on architecture designs, model progress, and technical solutions
  • Mentor and train personnel on MBSE methodologies, digital engineering environments, and toolsets
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and FFRDC partners to ensure model federation and architectural alignment
  • Support cybersecurity and system authorization efforts, including development of documentation for IATT and ATO processes
  • Analyze technical challenges and develop innovative solutions using digital modeling techniques
