POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

The Inventory Specialist (IS) will initiate and conduct inventories for supply management, inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization in support of Alutiiq Information Management's (AIM) IMAP contract and Department of State Government Funded Equipment (DoS GFE). The IS will perform (but not limited to) and/or support analysis and coordination of inventories to establish proper accountability, inspection of materials, acquisition, distribution, allocation, and correct deficiencies. The IS will partner with Logistics' functional areas for planning, implementation, and integration of government shipping requirements, including details of security and hazmat. The Inventory Specialist will integrate separate functions in planning or implementation in a logistics management program, as applicable. Below is a brief description (not limited to) of the roles and responsibilities:



Role and Responsibilities



  • Maintains and analyzes databases of logistics information, orders, shipping status, delivery status, inventory, through multiple technology platforms
  • Monitor inventory transactions at warehouse facilities to assess receiving, storage, shipping, or inventory integrity, and safety protocols
  • Assist in shipping of equipment utilizing secure and unsecure pouch, and unsecured Commercial means, tracking receipt of all shipped and incoming packages.
  • Provide initial quality control for accuracy of materials and annotating storage locations in all databases
  • Help maintain IMAP calibration program for tools and test equipment.
  • Initiate qualityand integrity checks for accuracy, consistency, and maximum usability for all equipment and PPT.
  • Overseeproperty hand receipt program for materials issued to and/or materials returned by authorized personnel and maintains accurate documentation
  • Create and execute statistical activity reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
  • Supportand representlogistics management program for new employee orientation
  • Maintain safety protocols for use of heavy machinery, updating safety checklist before use
  • Assist with other projects and duties as assigned


Deliverables may include:



  1. Daily order tracking status for a variety of records
  2. Weekly Inventory Log/report
  3. Monthly Inventory Log/report
  4. Quarterly Inventory Log/report
  5. Program equipment shipping status
  6. Other duties as assigned to fulfill contract requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 3 years'progressive experience in logistical operations and/or supply-chain management
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Top Secret Clearance


PREFERRED SKILLS:



  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with inventory management programs and software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, and function in a fast-paced environment, meeting quick turnaround deadlines
  • Self-Starter and strong team collaboration abilities
  • Knowledge in government supply-chain management, logistics functions and DoS shipping and transportation
  • General understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)



Typical Pay/Range: $75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience
