As an Associate Medical Director supporting our Medical Affairs Team, you will be trusted to provide scientificandmedical leadership and support for the product portfoliothroughoutvarious stages of clinical development and lifecycle managementwithinassigned therapeutic area.Contribute tostrategy, development, management, and implementation of post-market clinical or in-vitro studies for the assigned therapeutic area. Additionally, offerstrategic input for global development programs and registration studies. The position includes some involvement withcolleagues fromglobal development,Health economics and outcomes research, global andregional marketing,sales, regulatoryaffairs, legal and compliancefunctions. Publish, present and communicate scientific information and study data with other disease state experts, addressingthe needs of patients and health care practitioners for the assigned therapeutic area. This is out of our Fort Worth, TX office.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Support the execution of comprehensive Medical Affairs strategic plans
  • Support development ofglobal andregional medical affairs strategy for the assigned therapeutic area
  • Provide medical and scientific support for product messaging and claims development
  • Support post market/phase IV studies strategy and preregistration study strategic input
  • Support launch strategies, life-cycle management and expansion of indications for use
  • Support medical publications: Develop content to amplify clinical data, such as in white papers, scientific backgrounders, scientific exchange decks, peer-reviewed manuscripts, posters, scientific articles, video scripts and more
  • Support customer medical inquiries (i.e. medical exchange of information with KOLs, and management of medical issues raised by customer Health Care providers)
  • Maintain peer-to-peer relationships with Medical Experts/Key Stakeholders and members of the scientific community, utilizing scientific and medical evidence-based non-promotional materials
  • Support planning and execution of medical advisory board meetings
  • Provide fair-balanced scientific and educational information to healthcare professionals on specific medical issues
  • Support internal training, and as needed for academic or healthcare professionals
  • Medical promotional review support as needed

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs. Assoc.+11 yrs.; M.S.+4 yrs.; PhD+3 yrs.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 7 Years of Relevant Experience
