The Development Associate is an entry-level position reporting directly to and providing administrative support for the Senior Director, Direct Marketing and Special Programs. Additionally, the Development Associate will provide administrative support to the Assistant Vice President Direct Marketing and Special Programs, and the team as needed. The Development Associate will be a key member of a dynamic team focused on managing the programmatic direction of all Direct Marketing and Special Programs practices.
Essential Functions (Key Roles & Responsibilities) *Provide programmatic support for the Direct Marketing and Special Programs team, specifically supporting the Senior Director in executing the direct marketing program in both mail and digital. *Assist with execution of programs and projects, including but not limited to, preparing mailings, scheduling/recording meetings, and vendor relations. *Perform data quality checks. *Assist with stewardship events and collaborate across internal business and service units as well as external partners as needed. *Manage creative review process for direct marketing appeals by soliciting feedback internally and communicating with agency partner keeping all deliverables on schedule. Work with internal and external partners to create a pipeline of new content. *Assist with expense/budget tracking and approving invoices. *Schedule meetings/appointments and update calendars, enter data in fundraising database (), edit materials as required, and field routine phone calls. *Manage direct marking inbox and phone line coverage schedule. Troubleshoot issues from donors as they come in by drafting appropriate responses and working with Information Management and Development Services teams to ensure proper coding on records in CRM database. This position requires 1 year of fundraising or related, transferable experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.
