Position Description

The Senior Production Controls & Logistics Improvement Specialist owns and leads highimpact continuous improvement initiatives across production control, material flow, inventory management, and logistics operations. This role serves as a PC&L subject matter expert and change agent, accountable for delivering sustained, measurable improvements in operational performance, inventory health, and logistics efficiency.

The Senior Specialist operates with a high degree of autonomy, influences crossfunctional leaders, and plays a critical role in shaping PC&L improvement strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and lead sitelevel continuous improvement initiatives across PC&L functions, delivering measurable improvements in inventory accuracy, material availability, cost, and flow efficiency.
  • Perform advanced analysis of inventory valuation, coverage, and planning parameters to identify systemic issues and drive sustainable corrective actions.
  • Lead shop floor material flow optimization efforts, including layout redesigns, FIFO strategy development, and standardized material presentation.
  • Design, deploy, and sustain visual management systems and PC&L standard work, ensuring longterm adoption and performance stability.
  • Define, own, and report PC&L KPIs and performance dashboards, clearly linking results to business and financial objectives.
  • Lead datadriven evaluations of packaging strategies, internal logistics, and transportation processes to drive cost reduction and reliability improvements.
  • Serve as the PC&L continuous improvement subject matter expert, advising leadership on strategic priorities, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Mentor and guide Specialistlevel team members, supporting skill development and continuous improvement capability building.
  • Champion change management, ensuring successful adoption, sustainment, and cultural reinforcement of Lean behaviors.
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7-10+ years of experience in production control, logistics, materials management, or continuous improvement within manufacturing.
  • Proven record of delivering significant, measurable improvement results (inventory reduction, cost savings, throughput or service improvements).
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, KPI development, and datadriven analysis.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, lead change, and operate as a trusted advisor.
