Summary of Primary Functions: Directs and coordinates activities involved with the production of company precast/prestressed products made by designated crews (1-3 crews per production foreman typical).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.

  • Plans, directs, and supervises production activities of designated production crews.

  • Establishes production priorities for designated crews taking into consideration effective operations and cost factors.

  • Coordinates with procurement, maintenance, quality control, and engineering/drafting to ensure optimum production of quality products.

  • Reviews operational and quality reports to determine and reduce nonconformities and operational problems.

  • Oversees bed leaders during regular operations and safety meetings.

  • Participates in pre-production meetings to discuss new products.

  • Oversees bed leaders and production level II employees as they teach new hires and on-going training.

  • Resolves grievances and disagreements within designated crews or refers the problem to plant manager and/or HR.

  • Consults with engineering/drafting personnel about modifications to machines, equipment, and products to improve operations and quality.

  • Reviews, edits, and approves subordinate employees' time in IFS.

  • Performs regular performance reviews of subordinates and oversees approval of subordinates' vacation and absences.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred. A minimum of two years experience in precast operations and supervision.
