Position Summary

The Maintenance Manager manages the maintenance programs and processes of the assigned plant to ensure timely and effective production. Coordinates with other management staff to ensure efficiency in preventative maintenance and new equipment installation. Oversees facilities design and inspection, equipment repair and installation.

What You'll Do as a Maintenance Manager

  • Schedules repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
  • Develops preventative maintenance programs and policies to ensure safety of all equipment and machinery.
  • Prepares department budget and monitor expenditures of funds in budget.
  • Oversees outside contractors when they are required to be in the building.
  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
  • Evaluates problematic systems or facilities and determines the installation or repair services that need to be performed.
  • Develops and organizes work schedules and assigns work activities to maintenance associates.
  • Organizes and ensures that capital projects are communicated and executed to plan.
  • Reviews production, quality control and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
  • Has full authority for personnel actions such as hiring, firing, performance development, coaching, training and maintaining records.

    • Drives optimum employee performance and talent development. Provides growth, training, and development opportunities to employees.
    • Drives results through effective coaching, and counselling of staff and setting meaningful and measurable goals.
    • Screens and selects qualified individuals for positions, conducts performance reviews, determines salary adjustments, work schedules, promotions, training, and effectively addresses employee relations situations and manages conflict.


  • Champions idea generation system across department through providing support to team members in generating and implementing ideas.
  • Ensures idea generation board is updated and best ideas implemented are presented weekly to facility management.
  • Leads and manages SQDC board meetings and daily standard reports (daily production, material requirements, etc).
  • Drive attainment of and improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) performance.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of relavent Maintenance work with manufactring equipment repair and maintenance OR 16+ years of relavant Maintenance Work with manufacturing equipment repair and maintenance in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory or managment experience.
  • Advance PLC programming, robotics and electrical certifications (preferred)
  • Interviewing, Screening, selecting, performance evaluating, training, conflict management and employee relations.
  • Extensive knowledge of department processes.
  • Ability to use e-maintainence efficiently
  • Above average organizing, analyzing skills and a minumum math skills working with rations, proportions and basic algebra
  • Budget, strategy and development skills
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)
  • Utilize CMMS on an advanced level

Pay range for this opportunity is $81,750.00 - $109,000.00.This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
