* Base Pay Range: Sonographer I - $40.96/HR and Sonographer II - $44.10

* Shift Differentials:

o Additional $2.00 per hour for evening shift

o Additional $2.50 per hour for weekend shift

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Articulate precise understanding of how data flows in and out of the modality work area. Be attentive to patient satisfaction results and collaborate with management team on ways to improve the department in general and facility overall. Seek ways to improve systems and services. Assist with providing instruction to residents, fellows, students or other staff regarding ultrasonography equipment and procedures. Demonstrate ability to meet and sustain departmental expectations while completing work assignments as it pertains to patient care in an ethical manner.

Maintain integrity of equipment with careful manipulation at all times and complete required quality control checks routinely. Assist the Medical Physicist in performing additional quality assurance testing as needed. Demonstrate sustained ability when interacting with patients, to follow the AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Expectation and Thank You). Ensure confidentiality of all patient information is maintained. Maintain current certifications and licensure status. Understand time clock expectations and adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines. May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Sonographer I: Registry eligible. Sonography-related certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within two (2) years as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.

Sonographer II: Two (2) years of sonographer experience. Two (2) credentials issued from this list: --RDMS, --RDCS or RCS, --RVT or RVS or R.T.(VS), --RMSKS, --RCCS, --RPhS, --ACS, --R.T.(S), --NT.

Three (3) certifications utilized on the job from this list: --Abdomen (AB) from ARDMS --Breast (BR) from ARDMS --Fetal Echocardiography (FE) from ARDMS --Neurosonology (NE) from ARDMS (discontinued but prior records may be grandfathered in the count) --Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) from ARDMS --Pediatric Sonography (PS) from ARDMS --Adult Echocardiography (AE) from ARDMS or Cardiac Sonography (CS) from CCI --Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) from ARDMS --Vascular Technology (VT) from ARDMS, Vascular Specialist (VS) from CCI, or Vascular Sonography (VS) from ARRT --Musculoskeletal (MSKS) from ARDMS --Congenital Cardiac Sonography (CCS) from CCI --Phlebology Sonography (PhS) from CCI --Advanced Cardiac Sonography (ACS) from CCI --Sonography (S) from ARRT.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department. Experience with both adult and pediatric patients.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating
