Security Mobile Patrol - Swing Shift

Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)

Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts

Position Summary

Specialized mobile security unit assigned the responsibility for providing security and protection for Foster Farms properties and ranches. Provide security patrol for assigned locations. Protect all assets and team members of Foster Farms company while on property. Due to the mobile nature of this position Biological Security is a priority of Ranch's and other facilities. Care must be taken to protect poultry and other livestock from Biological Contamination. The order facilities are patrolled, vehicle and personal cleanliness, routes utilized are among considerations required for Biological Security.

Essential Job Functions:

• Respond to alarms.
• Provide patrol protection for assigned facilities and ranches.
• Maintain records, write reports, and fill out patrol logs.

Additional Functions:

• Complete any assignment or duty as designated by the Corporate Security Manager.
• Manage reports and legally required documentation.
• Understand Alarm systems for reset and acknowledgement.
• To perform any other duties as required.

Physical/Mental Demands:

• Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations
• May be exposed to stressful situations such as challenging individuals who are in or approaching an unauthorized area
• Seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly to communicate with employees and clients, observe and report incidents, and direct others
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain
• Ability to operate a company owned vehicle for the performance of duties and properly maintain all Foster Farms equipment
• On occasion may be required to perform stressful and physical activities
• Depending upon your assignment, you may be exposed to inclement weather or be required to work in different types of environments depending upon duties
• Depending upon your assignment, you may be required to work under conditions that require the use of protective equipment and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others.
• May be exposed to or required to handle sensitive and confidential information

Qualifications

Requirements:

• The position will require nights and partial weekends shift work.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Prefer experience in Law Enforcement, Security or Military.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in English (written and verbal).
• Must be able to read and write with proficiency.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and communication skills.
• Must have an overall favorable employment record and attendance record.
• Good eyesight (corrected).
• Possess a valid State driver's license (issued by a state in the United States of America)
• Good driving record.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain an Armed Security Officer License in California.
• Will be required to maintain a California Driver's License in good standing and current. The position will be a mobile patrol, driving 8-10 hours per shift.
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet requirements for specific skills, certifications, or authorizations specified for the assignee site
• Ability to administer drug testing as needed.
• Ability to write routine correspondences, including logs and reports
• Possess a California Concealed Weapons (CCW) permit right after hire date has been established.
• Must within 6 months possess and carry both the California guard registration card and exposed firearm permit, issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.
