Overview

The Imaging Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operations and staff performance of the CT and Xray departments at Urbana Campus. This role focuses on staff development, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and ensuring excellent patient care through effective team leadership and coaching. The Supervisor works collaboratively with the department Coordinator(s) and Managers to maintain departmental excellence and achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA); Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA); Registered in Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Education: Associate's Degree: Related Field; Certificate of Completion: Radiologic Technology, Work Experience: Radiology
Responsibilities

Implement and standardize clinical workflows and best practices.
Assists staff, both directly and indirectly, by providing support, guidance and effective problem solving, developing their problem-solving skills in the process.
Perform all other job duties as assigned. * Makes frequent rounds during which:

- Demonstrates sensitivity to staff's current situation

- Offers specific assistance, i.e., moving patients from one location to another, finding lunch coverage, answering a question.

- Interactions are purposeful (address need for information, encouragement, etc.)

- Perform all other job duties as assigned.
Clarifying and/or reinforcing information regarding values, policies, procedures, and current organizational events, practices, or issues with the staff and leadership.
Conduct interviews along with Coordinator and/or Manager for traveler and permanent staff positions.
Mentor team members and create professional development plans.
Oversees workflow to maximize efficiencies as established by department benchmarking. Coordinates staff coverage during unexpected high exam volumes as well as minimizing staff in time of low volumes.
Work with Vendors to make sure equipment is operational.
Maintain equipment and workplace environment including scheduling preventative maintenance, being aware of supply inventories, and orderliness of work area. Requesting POs and or facilities request when needed.
Aids in annual review of equipment including but not limited to; lead aprons and physicist reviews. Ensure equipment compliance is maintained per IEMA, ACR, and DNV Standards.
Review and monitor Radiation Safety/RL reports for compliance
Conduct audits and follow-up on errors or safety events
Staff Leadership & Development * Implement and lead staff engagement initiatives alongside the manager. * Lead and support quarterly team member rounding Performance Management & Discipline * Monitor staff productivity and develop improvement plans * Performs coaching with staff, documents conversation, performs formal record of conversation and progressive discipline with staff at the direction of their one up. * Resolve conflicts between team members * Completes performance evaluations and reviews with staff along with manager. Quality Assurance and Compliance for Team: * Managing and monitoring badge reporting with Landauer. Communicating badge reports with Physicist to ensure safety for radiology staff. * Maintain Lead Aprons for annual review, ordering, and record keeping. Financial: * Provides input for operating budgets, capital equipment purchases, and new staffing positions for Xray and CT. * Continue to monitor for cost saving initiatives within the department. * Ordering items for the department, requesting POs and quotes for vendors, paying invoices.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $43.31per hour - $74.49per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
