Johns Hopkins Health Plans offers four programs, including Priority Partners Managed Care Organization, Johns Hopkins Employer Health Programs (EHP), Johns Hopkins US Family Health Plan (USFHP) and Johns Hopkins Advantage MD.

As a Financial Analyst you'll:

  • Analyze and reconcile Medicare Advantage Revenue, including capitation, risk adjustment payments, pharmacy rebates, P2P transactions and CMS payment reports (Plan Payment Reports, MMR, PDE)
  • Manage monthly CMS payment validation and flag discrepancies between actual and expected revenue.
  • Create financial trend files, review and explain budget variances, and generate P&L and other financial reports
  • Assist in month end close and quarterly and annual reporting as needed
  • Support the preparation and submission of required CMS financial and regulatory reports (MLR, DIR, P2P) and maintain familiarity with CMS rules, including risk adjustment models.
  • Communicate your ideas (verbally and in writing) to senior leadership and internal stakeholders in multiple departments.

What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years' experience in a financial analyst role within the managed healthcare field
  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Finance)
  • Experience working with SQL and Power BI
  • Knowledge of Medicare line of business highly preferred including understanding of Risk Adjustment and Risk Revenue for Medicare
  • Extensive knowledge of spreadsheet and database software including proficiency in Excel and familiarity with CMS reporting platforms
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvements and financial efficiencies
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
