Primary Function

Lochinvar in Lebanon, TN- a business unit of A.O. Smith.

Constructs high quality custom commercial water heaters, boilers, and pool heaters. Assembles such items as fans, gas trains, sheet metal parts, heatexchangersand other assemblies.

Responsibilities
  • Verifies the information on the work order header is correct such as BOM part numbers, quantities, and consuming locations.Followsprocedures to see that info gets corrected.
  • Completes assembly of the componentsperthe instructions,drawingand quality standards. Inspects components for fit,formand function per defined procedures.
  • Using a variety of hand tools, assembles outer casings, control housings, flanges, mounts piping,pumpsand flow switches.
  • Installs wiring, including the wiring of pumps,panelsand other options, according to the work order.
  • Crates completed units and attaches shipping labels.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Manufacturing experience preferred

    Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge and navigationisrequired.

Education
High School Diploma or GED
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance
  • Use of wrenching, impacting, and/or vibrating tools (manual and automatic) is required occasionally for extended periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
