Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic leader to join our Marketing Team. The Senior Brand Manager for In-Store Bakery leads our internal marketing team in developing and delivering against annual business plans for BBU's in-store bakery business: from innovation through activation in market. This individual will work closely with our leadership team, developing and executing strategies for core growth and innovation across our branded and unbranded In-Store Bakery portfolio. The ideal candidate is a solutions-oriented, forward-thinking innovator who has experience leading brands and people.
The Senior Brand Manager of In-Store Bakery will lead the marketing plan development and execution of BBU's portfolio of In-Store Bakery brands, including: Goldminer Sourdough, The Cheesecake Factory Brown Bread, and Wholesome Harvest. The candidate will create the strategies for the brands, position and market the brands, create an innovation pipeline for the brands, and manage activation in market. In addition, the candidate will create strategic solutions to further develop our unbranded portfolio.
This position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing and has one direct report.

About the Artisan Team
The Artisan team is a newly established, high-growth business division within BBU focused on building a differentiated portfolio of artisan brands. We are responsible for brands that show up both in the commercial bread aisle and in the in-store bakery-delivering premium quality, scratch-like experiences, and strong shopper appeal across channels.
The team partners closely with Sales, Category Management, Insights, R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain to define strategy, create an innovation pipeline, and activate brands in-market-from packaging and messaging to shopper marketing and customer sell-in. With an entrepreneurial mindset and a bias for action, the Artisan team moves quickly to capture growth opportunities and scale winning ideas.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead marketing strategic planning, coordination and execution.
  • Manage product portfolio and proactively identify key levers to positively impact P&L.Adjust strategy as necessary to achieve revenue, volume, and margin targets.
  • Development and management of advertising and promotion plan and budget.
  • Oversee development of insight-driven innovation pipeline for branded portfolio - managing from concept through launch in market.
  • Oversee internal resources and external agencies tasked with creating effective content and campaigns.
  • Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to direct reports.
  • Work in close partnership with the Business Development and sales team to identify market gaps and growth opportunities, supporting development of collateral for sell stories.
  • Develop exceptional cross functional relationships to ensure overall commitment to portfolio.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Monitor brand performance and track key metrics.
  • Available for travel (10%)

Education and Work History:
  • Bachelor's level degree, preferably in business or marketing. MBA preferred. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
  • 10+ years marketing/category management, Consumer Packaged Goods experience preferred
  • Experience leading omnichannel programs and cross-category brand partnerships is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Strong computer skills - MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience driving insights from syndicated data (IRI, AC Nielsen, etc.) and primary/secondary research
