What to Expect
Tesla isseekinga highly motivated Engineering Technician toassistwithpowersupplyassembly line and support the Mechanical and Electricaldesignteams'general work stream,focusing onspecialty components assembly and electronics handling and repairs. The candidate should be familiar withfollowingmanufacturingSOPdocumentation. The candidate will be a key member of across-functionalproduct development team.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate intheassembly of individualpowersupplyunits, in line with other techniciansin thepowersupplyassembly line, and log finished goods andkeepconsumable inventoryup to date
  • Perform the assembly/ repairof newly designedmechanical and electrical equipment, including circuit boardsandparticipatein first unit testingin collaboration with the equipment engineer
  • Perform EndofLine testing using established testing procedures and equipment
  • Execute validation testing designedby engineers and summarize observationin test write-up
  • Work around and on highvoltage (up to 480V AC)equipment
  • Support procurement activities including sourcing components, creating purchase requests, tracking orders, and coordinating with suppliers
  • Provide feedback on existing SOPs andassistthe process and equipment engineering teams to write new SOPs

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Physics,Engineeringorequivalent experience
  • 2+ yearsof experience in Engineering development or power supply manufacturing
  • Careful attention to detail and ability to clearly communicate results and challenges to engineering team
  • Proficient at soldering, use of hand tools, basic electrical debugwith multimeter, entry level fabrication
  • Computer skills (MS Office, Jira, navigate3D models ineDrawings, running tests [mostly automatic])
  • Great communicationskills and teamworkwith a strong ownership mindset

    Expected Compensation
    $23.18 - $53.58/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
