SUMMARY:

Reports to the Medical Director, Brown Health Medical Group Primary Care (as appropriate, based on practice location and responsibilities), for all entrusted responsibilities of the job.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works closely with primary care teams within Brown University Health facilities and its community partners to establish and implement evidence-based behavioral health care program as part of a population health management effort.

  • Provides short-term direct patient care, referral, and consultative services in emergent and routine circumstances using empirically supported treatments within primary care.

  • Assists in the development of empirically-supported behavioral health screening and referral processes within primary care.

  • Assists the Adult Psychiatry Integrated Care division director in assuring the delivery of high quality, efficient, and cost-effective clinical services in Brown University Health and its community partners.

  • Adheres to Brown University Health/community partner patient safety guidelines. Compliant with Brown University Health Medical Staff Guidelines, medical records and OPPE requirements

  • Promotes and follows the Corporate Values and Guiding Principles of Brown University Health and its community partners.

  • Assists in the clinical operations to support the Mission and Vision of Brown University Health and its community primary care partners.

  • Assists in the division's quality assurance and quality improvement plan to assure compliance with the requirements of the Joint Commission and those of other appropriate regulatory agencies and organizations.

  • Assists in the implementation and promotion of customer-focused, quality improvement principles throughout the division's clinical and administrative organization.

  • Serves on various hospital or community practice committees as requested.

  • Supports the Brown University Health academic and teaching mission as requested and approved.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications

  • Completion of a doctorate in clinical psychology and internship from an APA-approved program.

  • Licensed or license-eligible in psychology in Rhode Island.

Experience
Demonstrated skills in evidence-based practice of psychology in an integrated primary care setting.

Pay Range:

$100,027.20-$165,048.00
