As part of our Architecture practice at HDR, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of spaces and experiences that advance community well-being around the world. In the role of Landscape Architect, we'll count on you to:
  • Develop site designs through contract document phases of projects
  • Conduct site analysis to include building operation, vehicular and pedestrian circulation, site grading, storm drainage design and site amenities
  • Meet with client representatives as needed
  • Participate in reviews with various utilities and governing agencies for code compliance
  • Conduct design development and contract document work sessions at project sites
  • Coordinate workload to ensure deadlines are met, reviewing documents for all areas of conflict with all disciplines, writing and editing site design specifications, selecting landscape and paving materials, and preparing drawings as required
  • Provide contract administration as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

We are looking for a team member who:

  • Produce drawings and lead landscape architecture scope independently
  • Experience working with Architecture + Transportation projects / teams
  • Be able to support project leadership for our team (technical questions, project management, fee / schedule development)
  • Has experience working in Washington / Seattle and existing relationships with local county / cities
  • Support business development efforts
  • Support team staffing / projections
  • Self-starter / Proactive!
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years experience
  • GIS knowledge helpful

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering
  • Professional registration
  • Experience with MS Office, AutoCAD and Photoshop
  • Able to prepare site plans and understand the principles of grading and drainage
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
