Description

Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship Program
1-Year Fellow position at Children's National Hospital, Washington D.C

This one-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship includes training in advanced pediatric otolaryngology. This training program provides a solid foundation in all aspects of pediatric otolaryngology clinical care and research. In addition, fellows will receive teaching experience through exposure to otolaryngology residents, medical students and other specialty trainees. After completion of the fellowship, the trainee will have met the training pathway requirement for eligibility for the Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology sub certification with the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.
Fellows gain exposure to a wide range of disorders that are encountered in clinical practice and a large volume of experience will involve the management of middle ear disorders and airway problems. In addition, fellows gain experience in diagnosis and management of children with disorders of the paranasal sinuses, congenital abnormalities and tumors of the head and neck, craniofacial anomalies, voice and speech disorders, vascular malformations and aerodigestive diseases. As trainees in the program, fellows actively participate and learn from these cases.
Outside of the operating room, fellows participate in patient care in outpatient multi-disciplinary clinics as well as on the in-patient service. Didactics and other instructional activities such as simulation, round-table discussions, workshops, journal clubs, and one-on-one teaching are integral to the daily experience.

Fellowship start dates are:
July 1, 2027 or August 1, 2027
(contingent upon completion of required training)
