Now Hiring Engineering Technician Employment Type Direct Hire Location Austin, TX Pay $25 - $35 per hour (Depending on Experience) + Differential Schedule: 3rd Shift | 11:00 PM - 7:15 AM | Sunday - Thursday Requirements:
- Associate's degree, military training, equivalent vocational training, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of related experience in a similar background (performing hands-on debugging, validation, and system-level failure analysis of next-generation server and rack systems within a high-mix, high-ambiguity manufacturing environment)
- Demonstrated technical skills that may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or lead/guide other employees
- Strong ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures, present information, and respond to questions from managers and customers
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering teams, contribute to documentation, and monitor equipment productivity while adhering to safety guidelines
- Troubleshot and repaired complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment at the component level
- Installing and configuring infrastructure, including servers, racks, switches, and other hardware, including liquid cooling, power
- Provides technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel
- This position requires advanced technical skills and the ability to provide guidance and training to other technical personnel
- Collaborates with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates
- Presents training, when necessary, to the new build and service assembler teams
- Contributes to the development of work instructions, batch records, equipment logs, material specifications, and other device history documents
- Helps monitor the productivity of our equipment by tracking yields and equipment cycle rates
- Assists with the installation, debugging, and validation of Test equipment
- Follows all safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions to the supervisor
- Develops and maintains the Debug Guide to troubleshoot the PCBA
- Provides training and PCBA debugging guidance to other debug technicians
- Assist with the development and delivery of customer presentations and interface with customers.
- Partner with engineers on outside third-party developments
- Organize documentation (specifications, schematics, and procedures).
- Perform tests per customer specifications and requirements.
