Sr. Project Manager, Supply Chain Op Ex
Status: Exempt (Salaried) Position Summary The Senior Project Manager drives Supply Chain Operational Excellence by leading enterprise initiatives that standardize, optimize, and continuously improve core supply chain processes across planning, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics. This role is focused on enhancing end-to-end material flow, increasing operational efficiency, and enabling scalable, resilient supply chain operations. This position is responsible for implementing robust processes, governance frameworks, and performance management systems that enable consistent execution and cross-functional alignment. The Senior Project Manager leads efforts to streamline ERP/system utilization, reduce process variability, and eliminate inefficiencies that impact service levels, cost, and operational performance.
A key component of this role is leveraging AI-driven insights and advanced analytics to improve demand planning, supply planning, and decision-making speed. This includes identifying opportunities to deploy predictive models, automate exception-based workflows, and enhance visibility into risks across the supply chain.
Working closely with Supply Chain teams and the functional areas that rely on them, this role ensures data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement are embedded in daily operations.
The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in supply chain operations, lean principles, and process optimization, along with experience applying advanced analytics or AI tools to solve complex operational challenges. This role requires the ability to lead change, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver sustainable, measurable improvements in end-to-end supply chain performance.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead End-to-End Operational Excellence Initiatives
Lead high-impact, enterprise-level projects from concept through execution, including stakeholder management, timelines, and measurable outcomes through cross-functional teams, with a focus on service, cost, and scalability. - Standardize Supply Chain Processes
Develop and implement standardized workflows, SOPs, and governance models to ensure consistent execution across all supply chain functions and sites. - Establish KPI Frameworks and Performance Management
Define, track, and report on key metrics to drive action, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Drive ERP and System Optimization
Partner with IT and functional teams to enhance ERP and planning system utilization, improve data integrity, and streamline system-driven processes. - Leverage AI and Advanced Analytics
Identify and deploy AI-driven tools and predictive analytics to enhance demand/supply planning, risk identification, and decision-making speed. - Enable Data-Driven Decision Making
Build dashboards, reporting structures, and analytics capabilities that provide real-time visibility into supply chain performance and risks. - Lead Cross-Functional Alignment
Drive cross-functional alignment to implement standardized, scalable processes that maintain flexibility and ensure financial auditability. - Drive Continuous Improvement and Lean Practices
Champion Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste, reduce variability, and improve process efficiency across the supply chain. - Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Exempt employees are expected to work as many hours as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities. This may require they work more than eight hours a day and more than five days or 40 hours per week.
Education and Experience
- BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain strategy or project leadership.
- Demonstrated success improving inventory turns, reducing excess & obsolete inventory, and optimizing service levels.
- Advanced experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar), MRP logic, inventory planning parameters, and data analytics tools.
- Strong financial acumen with ability to model working capital impact and cost-to-serve analysis.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with measurable financial results.
- Executive-level communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced Excel and data modeling capability; experience with BI tools preferred.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Pay Rate:
$103,680.00 - $165,000.00
