IT Business Analyst

Genesis10 is currently seeking a QA Tester - Onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes. The ideal candidate will ensure software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements by developing test cases, executing both manual and automated test suites, and assisting with defect triage in an Agile and Waterfall environment.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure software is tested to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements
• Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases
• Lead test planning, ensuring stories are well refined and contain clear acceptance criteria
• Condition and generate test data, ensuring data compliance requirements are met
• Build and execute both manual and automated test suites, recording and communicating results
• Identify automation opportunities and develop test automation
• Report issues and defects and participate in triaging them
• Create and manage traceability through the development lifecycle
• Maintain and catalog test suites across test types (Smoke, Integration, Regression, etc.)

Requirements:

• 5 to 7 years of total experience in test planning and execution
• Working knowledge of Defect management process, Risk Framework and Mitigation, and Enterprise Testing standards
• Expertise with QA Deliverables tool set (Quality Center, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project/Excel)
• Proficiency with test automation tool set (QTP/Selenium/Tosca)
• Strong background in both Agile/Waterfall Methodologies
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated and able to work independently
• Strong problem solving and analytical skill sets
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science

Desired skills:

• SQL skills and ETL testing experience
• Ability to use agile tools (Jira/Rally)
• Experience with Continuous Integration Model
