Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-sized projects for the corporate AME group, while interfacing with associated plant ME teams and other corporate functions. Said projects will encompass new product development and new manufacturing technology. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the committed project result.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery by establishing execution strategies, directing cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with contractual, quality, and safety standards.
  • Drive planning and performance management by developing integrated project plans, monitoring progress, optimizing resources, and implementing recovery actions to mitigate schedule delays and cost overruns.
  • Own financials, risk, and procurement oversight by managing budgets, forecasting, cost optimization initiatives, contract compliance, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks while capitalizing on opportunities.
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment and successful closeout by maintaining strong relationships, delivering clear communications and reporting, securing customer acceptance, and completing formal project and contract closeout.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of experience in industrial electric motor or related industries.
  • Proven expertise in electrical design and applications.
  • Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) - preferred.
  • Proficiency with project and enterprise systems, including SAP (required), Microsoft Project, and similar tools; experience with PR+ is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to leverage tools such as Power BI and Microsoft platforms to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
