Overview

The Summer Intern - Marketing & Communications Support position will provide operational and project-based support for a variety of marketing, branding, communications, and organizational initiatives during Summer 2026. The intern will assist with inventorying, organizing, updating, and standardizing both physical and digital marketing and communication assets across multiple platforms and campus locations.

This role will work collaboratively with campus partners, including University Marketing & Communications, to support branding consistency, event marketing, content organization, and communication-related projects in preparation for the Fall 2026 semester. The position also provides hands-on experiential learning opportunities in marketing, communications, branding, project management, and organizational operations.



Responsibilities

Marketing & Branding Support
* Assist with updating and organizing marketing and communication materials
* Support branding consistency across physical and digital platforms
* Help update templates, promotional materials, and presentation assets
* Assist with organizing and maintaining photography and video assets

Inventory & Documentation
* Inventory and document existing marketing and communication materials
* Create and maintain centralized tracking and inventory documents
* Identify materials requiring updates, replacement, standardization, or removal
* Document physical and digital branding locations across campus

Digital Content & Communications
* Assist with webpage and digital asset organization
* Support social media content and graphics preparation
* Assist with student-facing communications and messaging
* Help organize digital forms, templates, and internal communication documents

Event & Operational Support
* Support event marketing and communication efforts
* Assist with preparing materials for campus events and initiatives
* Help manage campus screens, displays, and promotional content
* Provide general operational support for marketing and communications projects

Collaboration & Project Coordination
* Work collaboratively with University Marketing & Communications and campus partners
* Participate in project planning and coordination meetings as needed
* Support ongoing communication and branding initiatives across departments
* Assist with maintaining organized project documentation and timelines



Qualifications

Education:

Minimal Qualifications: Current enrollment in a college or university degree program required

Preferred areas of study include Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Media Production, or related fields

Experience:
Minimal Experience:

Experience with marketing, communications, branding, social media, or digital content creation preferred

Experience with graphic design, photography, video editing, or web content management is beneficial but not required

Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail

Experience working collaboratively on projects or in team environments preferred

Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and social media platforms preferred

* Basic understanding of marketing, branding, and communications principles
* Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools

* Willingness to learn new systems, platforms, and processes
* Professionalism and ability to appropriately represent the University in communications and projects
* Experience with graphic design, photography, video editing, or web content management is preferred but not required
* Ability to maintain accurate records, inventories, and tracking documents
