Temporary Research Assistant - Biology

The DSHB Curation Group in the Department of Biology at the University of Iowa is seeking a temporary professional employee to help annotate antibody data.

This temporary position will focus on:

* Curating and updating Xenopus antibody data

* Enhancing usage information for existing antibodies

* Annotating and organizing DSHB's antibody collections for improved accessibility and utility

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a background in Xenopus developmental biology, and some familiarity with basic programming and spreadsheet navigation.

Application Instructions

Education Requirement: PHD in biology

Desirable Qualifications: knowledge of Xenopus developmental biology and use of antibodies in this organism, some basic knowledge of python and Excel, willingness to work as a temporary postdoc.

The position starts immediately and will be paid $33.00 per hour.
