The Commercial Loan Booking & Funding Specialist is responsible for accurately setting up, booking, and funding new Business Banking and Commercial loan and line accounts within the Horizon system. This role requires working knowledge of commercial loan products and familiarity with the FIS Horizon or IBS loan platforms, including loan, collateral, and relationship management modules. The specialist ensures all loans are funded and boarded in compliance with Bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations. Success in this position relies on strong accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships while delivering excellent customer service.

Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Book new loans to the Horizon system.

  • Post loan disbursements and advance transactions online in Horizon/IBS.

  • Maintain strong rapport with lending, loan closing and post-closing teams to ensure the accurate and timely booking of new loans from the nCino system to Horizon/IBS.

  • Revise written booking and funding procedures as necessary.

  • Complete data entry and process appropriate GL transactions with corresponding offsets in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Provide superior customer service to the Bank's internal and external customers.

  • Keep informed of compliance regulations including changes and updates as it applies to products and systems.

  • Updates knowledge and develops professionally on a continual basis through various training resources.

  • Correct and perform maintenance on any errors identified.

Position Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the FIS Horizon and/or IBS Loan Systems or similar servicing application desired.

  • Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets via Microsoft Office products as well as custom applications and systems.

  • Ability to work independently in a multi-tasking environment while meeting critical deadlines.

  • Proven ability to solve issues and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Strong interpersonal communication with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

  • Excellent organizational skills; detail-oriented, accurate and self-motivated.

Required Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Experience with Business Banking and Commercial loan documentation preferred.

  • Good computer skills, experience with FIS Horizon and/or IBS Loan System, nCino, MS Office and SharePoint preferred.

  • Ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team in a multi-tasking environment while meeting critical deadlines.
