This position is responsible for the coordination of the transportation schedule for Panorama's C&R residents in collaboration with LED Transportation department. This role also accompanies resident medical appointments and works on the floor as an NAC as needed. This position requires professional and proactive communication.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate and manage the C&R resident transportation schedule.
  • Act as companion for C&R residents attending medical appointments. Arrange coverage for companion if unable to attend.
  • Maintain excellent communication with residents, families, staff, and community providers.
  • Work collaboratively with LED Transportation to communicate transportation needs, appointment details, scheduling priorities, and resident mobility or companion support needs to ensure safe and efficient transportation services.
  • Collaborate with Admissions on transportation needs and integrate into the schedule accordingly.
  • Assist as a floor NAC as needed.
  • Act as back up to Admissions NAC as needed.
  • Provide outstanding professional transportation services to Panorama residents, with strict adherence to traffic laws, safety requirements, and the proper use and care of all equipment as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of vehicle use and laws, safety and healthcare accessories, safe driving/parking techniques, customer service standards, emergency response protocols, and first aid/CPR.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Nursing Assistant Certified required
  • One-year driving experience required. Experience with vehicle performance/maintenance issues preferred
  • Experience working with the geriatric population and with accessibility/mobility devices and features preferred.
  • Washington State Driver's License and ability to be insured

Physical/Mental Requirements:
Ability to enter/exit bus or van throughout the workday. Ability to assist senior population boarding/disembarking from bus or van. Balancing, climbing, crouching, grasping, kneeling, lifting weight in excess of 25 pounds, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, and stooping.
Working and Environmental Conditions: Position will be exposed to inside and outside environmental conditions and their normal physical hazards. Exposure to blood-borne pathogens, respiratory hazards, and chemical hazards may occur and require that safety precautions be followed
