*L2 Data Center Technician - NVIDIA* *Location:* Santa Clara, CA (OnSite - 2788 San Tomas Expy)
*Type:* Long-Term Contract *Schedule:* 4x10 (Includes 1 Weekend Day) *About the Role* NVIDIA is actively hiring *Level 2 Data Center Technicians* to support *production operations and ongoing infrastructure expansion* in Santa Clara. This is a *hands-on L2 role* where you'll perform *true break/fix troubleshooting*, alongside rack & stack and deployment work in a high-performance datacenter environment. *What You'll Be Doing* * Perform *true L2 break/fix troubleshooting* on servers (not just part swapping) * Diagnose, isolate, and resolve *hardware and system issues independently* * *Install, configure, and deploy servers and network equipment* * *Perform rack & stack* and support datacenter buildout activities * Run and manage *cabling (Cat6 and fiber)* including routing and rework * Update *firmware and BIOS* on production systems * Configure *IP addresses and credentials* for deployed hardware * Partner with network teams to support: * Cable routing and repatching * Optics replacement * Port changes and connectivity issues * Support both *ongoing operations and scaling infrastructure builds* *Must-Have Skills & Experience* * *2+ years of Data Center Technician experience* * *Strong hands-on experience with:* * *Data center operations* * Rack & stack * Cabling (Cat6 / structured cabling) * Hardware installation and maintenance * Proven ability to *troubleshoot server issues independently (L2 level)* * *Experience diagnosing and isolating root cause issues (break/fix)* * *Comfortable working in a production data center environment* * *Ability to collaborate effectively with network and infrastructure teams* *Strong Pluses* * Experience troubleshooting *Linux-based systems* * *Ability to differentiate between logical vs. physical failures* * *Experience in liquid-cooled data center environments* *Schedule* * Must be available for a *4x10 shift*: * *Sun-Wed* OR * *Wed-Sat* * Shift times vary (day shifts), includes *one weekend day* *Important Notes* * This is a *true L2 role* - not remote hands or guided troubleshooting * Candidates must be comfortable handling both: * *Troubleshooting (L2)* * *Installation and deployment work (L1 tasks)* * Hiring is *highly competitive and moving quickly* - early applicants prioritized *Why Join* * Work directly in an *NVIDIA data center supporting cutting-edge AI infrastructure* * *Long-term opportunity in a high-growth environment* * *Gain exposure to advanced compute and next-gen datacenter technologies* * *Collaborative, hands-on team environment* *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $37.50/hr.
