Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate staff, volunteers, and stakeholders towards a common vision.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.
- Sound decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze information, solve problems, and prioritize competing demands effectively.
- Experience in building and sustaining collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and funders.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Description
Program Management and Quality Assurance:
- Implement strategic plan activities as directed by Divisional leadership aligning with the organization's mission and goals
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of an assigned program(s), ensuring efficient delivery of services and adherence to budgetary constraints
- Implement and provide feedback on policies and procedures related to program operations, staff management, and service delivery, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with organizational values and objectives.
- Ensure that programs adhere to best practices, regulatory standards, evidence-based standards of care and Merakey policies and procedures.
Staff Leadership and Development:
- Lead and supervise a team of professionals providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee staff performance management processes, including regular evaluations, goal setting, and professional development planning and mentoring, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and values.
- Implement disciplinary actions when necessary, following established protocols and ensuring fairness and consistency following organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Lead recruitment and hiring processes for program staff, including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection, while ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion principles are upheld.
- Manage timecards and attendance records for staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Coordinate scheduling and staffing needs to ensure adequate coverage for program activities and services.
Financial Management:
- Take responsibility for the profit and loss (P&L) of the assigned programs
- Informs and participates in annual budget development in collaboration with senior leadership
- Manages approved program budgets monitoring financial performance and implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve financial sustainability.
Partnership Development and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote program services and increase community awareness
- Coordinate with communications staff to develop promotional materials, press releases, and online content to highlight program achievements and impact.
