Summary
The Senior Print Shop Operator will set-up and operate full range of offset presses and related equipment to produce complex full color printed materials. Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on printing and bindery equipment. Experience on 4-6 color half-size offset printing press producing multi-color work; dot-to-dot registration; trap colors; spot varnish; print large solids; aqueous coating; pack the blanket and/or plate cylinder to register colors between units; print duotones and full reverses; convert from single-sided to two-sided printing and return. A high-level of analytical and problem solving skills is required. Flexibility to adapt to changing work properties; work in noisy environment; willingness to work nights and overtime; interact effectively and courteously with all levels of personnel, customers, vendors, and other parties; and vision sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. Must also be able to operate both bindery and small offset press equipment, this includes, performing cutting, folding, etc. Performs routine maintenance and adjustments on bindery and printing equipment as required. Minimum Requirements
Three (3) years of large press and multi color work experience. High-level of analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to transport materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Preferred Experience:
Shift schedule: Monday through Friday 10:00 pm to 6:00 pm (overtime required based on business need) Major Accountabilities
