Job Summary:
The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Wisconsin-Madison welcomes applications for a position as a Lecturer for classes within the Spanish and Portuguese Department ranging from 100-300 level. These appointments are for the fall semester of the 2026-27 academic year starting August 17, 2026, and have the potential to be renewed for the spring semester. These positions have the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding. This position can be full or part-time depending on the number of courses taught: 33.4%-100% FTE. Key Job Responsibilities:
College of Letters & Science, Spanish & Portuguese The Department of Spanish and Portuguese offers undergraduate Spanish and Portuguese majors and a certificate in Business Spanish. At the graduate level we offer MA and PhD degrees in Spanish and Portuguese with concentrations in literature, cultural studies, and linguistics. Compensation:The minimum salary is $63,950 at 100% FTE for a full academic year. Actual salary will be prorated based on FTE and number of days worked. Required Qualifications:
