Security Officer Authorized Entry Driver

As a Security Officer Authorized Entry Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a government location, you will monitor entry points, verify access, and help support orderly operations through visible presence, patrols, and professional communication. This is a driving post. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, document visitor activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, checkpoints, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A current tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with COLA, DPSS, and/or DHS requirements.
• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
