As a Security Officer Driver Credential in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a government location where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols that help to deter security-related incidents. In this driving post, you will remain visible, interact professionally with staff and visitors, and support daily operations through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity in a caring, reliable, and innovative environment.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and residents by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor access control points by verifying identification, screening visitors, documenting entries and exits, and reporting unusual activity according to site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for policy violations, unauthorized access, and conditions that could require security-related attention.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs related to visitor activity, incidents, escorts, and/or daily operations in accordance with site expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with DPSS/DHS COLA requirements.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
