TITLE: Consultant



POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for all package design and layout for new and existing packages of produced product. Consultant will coordinate artwork through conception into finished products. Coordinate production planning by purchasing and controlling products from vendors to meet manufacturing goals, monitor and manage inventory.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Packaging or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of five years purchasing/buying experience.
  • Basic Computer Skills Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Detail orientated and meticulous.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Experience in improving efficiency of manufacturing lines.


  • To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.
  • Close attention to detail is essential.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the regulations and requirements of operating within a Foreign Trade Zone.
  • Must be very proficient, quick and comfortable with a personal computer avigation and operation.
  • Excel, Word, Office.


  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.


  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Aid in developing new packaging as well as maintaining quality of existing packing materials.
  • Perform packaging characterization and cost effectiveness studies.
  • Coordinates the readiness and introduction of new packaging materials.
  • Prepares and updates various packaging specifications and artwork.
  • Locate vendors/suppliers.
  • Coordinate order status report submissions from suppliers. Resolve changes and discrepancies and update artwork information.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously directly with suppliers in relation to order processing as required to resolve issues and receive order acknowledgements.
  • Maintain supplier list.
  • Review and resolve supplier discrepancies.



WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:



  • Conditions, protected from weather conditions not necessarily temperature conditions.
  • Outside environmental conditions, there is no effective protection from weather.
  • Inside and outside environments apply.
  • Subject to extreme cold temperature below 32 degrees for period of more than one hour.
  • Subject to noise causing reason to shout in order to be heard above noise level.
  • Subject to hazards such as moving machinery, electrical currents, falling debris, exposure to chemicals, gases, high heat, or combustible material.
  • Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
  • Subject to unregulated atmospheric conditions caused by odors, fumes, gases, poor ventilation, and dust.
  • Subject to oils and other cutting fluids via touch or air.

  • All routine decisions on daily basis.
