Data Quality Analyst - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Quality Analyst for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 6 month contract opportunity.

We are seeking a Data Analyst to support a critical cybersecurity data initiative within an Information Security organization. This role is heavily focused on data analysis, data quality, ETL validation, and governance support for a cybersecurity data platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience analyzing large datasets, validating data pipelines, creating data quality rules, and partnering with business and technical teams to ensure trusted, governed, and high-quality data across enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies
• Define, create, and maintain Data Quality rules for cybersecurity and risk-related data
• Validate ETL processes and data pipelines to ensure accuracy and completeness of data
• Perform data reconciliation, profiling, and root cause analysis across multiple data sources
• Support the cybersecurity data platform initiative by ensuring reliable and governed data assets
• Collaborate with developers, data owners, governance teams, business analysts, and stakeholders
• Assist with establishing data governance standards, metadata management, and data lineage documentation
• Develop SQL/Python-based validation queries and analytical reports to support testing and quality initiatives
• Document findings, testing results, and data quality metrics for business and technical stakeholders
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve overall data integrity and reporting accuracy

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Quality, or Data Governance roles
• Strong SQL and Spark SQL for validating and analyzing data within the ETL and pipeline testing process
• Experience with Python/PySpark for data validation, automation, reconciliation, and large-scale data analysis

Desired skills:

• Familiarity with Databricks
• Experience with Data Quality tools such as Collibra or Informatica
• Financial Services industry experience
• Cybersecurity or Information Security domain experience
• Experience working with data governance, metadata, and lineage frameworks

Pay range: $44.14 - $54.14 per hour
