What to Expect
TheSr. Manager,Operationsisa key leader within the Solar Manufacturing organizationandwill be responsible forleadingproduction,engineering, and maintenance. They will be responsible formeeting production forecasts, budgets,and driving continuous improvement throughoutthe manufacturing processenvironment. They willrole modelleadershipfortheiroperationsteams, develop theirpeople,andprovidedirectionandhands-on supportas necessary. This role will ensure quality and safety of the operation while driving continuous improvementand excellence. What You'll Do
Build a mission critical manufacturing team, start-up, ramp, and optimize production Responsible formanufacturingoperationsincludingproduction, engineering, and maintenance,daily production planning, delivery to plan, production cost, (FTT) first time yield,uptime,safety, quality targets, production staffing, etc. Maintain high product quality, safety and yield while ensuring optimal cost, use of resources and adherence to best safety practices Maintain the facility and equipment in optimal operating conditions through implementation of a preventative maintenance system and taking appropriate corrective actions where needed Hire, coach, lead and develop large scale teams made up of salaried and hourly team members Support upgrades, new product and material introductions by supporting design teams, creating process plans, tracking budget costs and project schedules and developing countermeasures for timely completion of project goals Drive high quality standards in everything we do such as process control systems, monitoring and managing key product metrics, consistency in documentation, and 5S initiatives Develop and deliver continuous improvement initiatives in safety, environmental, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity objectives. Provide feedback to management on issues; benchmark other organizations for best practices
What You'll Bring
Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience 12+ years' experience in high-volume, high-speedmanufacturing(solar,semi-conductorpreferred);9+ years' leadership or equivalent Proven track recordbuilding and leadinglarge,top performing teams, driving continuous improvement,and deliveringworld-classmanufacturingresults Experiencehiring and building out top-performing teams Experience with introduction of new products and materials Newprocess andequipment start-upandproduction ramp up experience desired Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines with strong follow through The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, self-motivated, well organized, and able to pro-actively communicate with all employees and works well in a fast-paced,multi-cultural environment Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills A strong sense of urgency and drive
