Building on our past. Ready for the future

Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We're bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate all earthworks construction activities on site, including excavation, backfilling, grading, soil stabilization, compaction, and installation of temporary and permanent access roads. Ensure all activities are executed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and established workface planning requirements.

  • Drive safe execution of all earthworks operations in alignment with Worley's HSE standards, actively identifying and mitigating risks associated with heavy equipment operations, ground disturbance, and site logistics. Promote a strong safety culture across all crews and subcontractors involved in civil works.

  • Oversee daily workface planning and sequencing of earthworks activities, ensuring that manpower, equipment, and materials are efficiently allocated to support continuous and productive site operations. Coordinate closely with project teams to maintain alignment with schedule milestones and construction priorities.

  • Manage productivity and performance of earthworks crews, including equipment operators, labor teams, and subcontractors. Monitor progress against plan, identify constraints, and implement corrective actions to maintain efficient execution and minimize delays.

  • Ensure compliance with geotechnical requirements, environmental controls, and erosion and sedimentation management plans. Support environmental stewardship by ensuring that earthworks activities are conducted responsibly and in accordance with regulatory and project requirements.

  • Collaborate with engineering, survey, quality, and construction management teams to ensure accurate setting out, adherence to design elevations, and resolution of constructability challenges in the field.

  • Oversee quality control of earthworks activities, ensuring correct compaction, material placement, moisture conditioning, and grading tolerances are achieved in accordance with specifications and testing requirements.

  • Provide leadership and direction to field personnel, ensuring clear communication of daily objectives, safe work practices, and execution priorities. Support development of crews through coaching, guidance, and reinforcement of best practices in civil construction.

  • Contribute to planning and execution of temporary works, haul routes, laydown areas, and site logistics to support efficient project delivery across multiple work fronts.

Qualifications / Skillset
  • Candidates will bring extensive experience in earthworks and civil construction within large-scale infrastructure, industrial, energy, or EPC project environments. A strong background in field supervision and site execution leadership is essential, typically developed through many years of progressive construction experience.

  • Strong technical knowledge of earthworks construction methods is required, including excavation techniques, grading operations, soil compaction principles, slope stabilization, and material handling. Experience with geotechnical requirements and interpretation of civil drawings and survey data is essential.

  • Demonstrated leadership capability in managing multiple crews, subcontractors, and heavy equipment operations in dynamic construction environments is required. The ability to coordinate complex field activities while maintaining safety, productivity, and quality standards is critical.

  • Strong understanding of HSE principles related to heavy civil construction is essential, including safe operation of earthmoving equipment, ground disturbance controls, and environmental protection measures.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills are required, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams including engineering, surveying, quality, environmental, and construction management personnel.

  • Experience in EPC or large capital project environments is highly valued, particularly within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors. Familiarity with construction planning tools, productivity tracking, and field execution systems is an advantage.

  • Candidates will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in complex field environments. The ability to operate independently while maintaining alignment with broader project objectives is essential.

  • Please note this is a NIGHT SHIFT position
