Position Description: TCB's Treasury Department is responsible for the management and analysis of all cash and investments for the organization. The Treasury Assistant will be based in the Boston corporate office and will report to the Manager of Treasury and Corp/Dev Accounts Payable. They will work closely across teams to ensure success and provide a strong understanding of the daily transactional activity and form close relationships with some of the largest banks in the country. The Treasury Assistant provides operational and administrative support to the Treasury Department by assisting with daily cash activity, banking documentation, transfer processing support, reconciliation backup, and maintenance of Treasury records and trackers. Essential Functions:
- Support routine daily Treasury cash operations, including electronic payments and internal transfers, following established procedures.
- Assist with maintaining accurate Treasury records, documentation, and tracking tools to support cash activity monitoring.
- Provide administrative support for fraud prevention controls, including Positive Pay processing and verification activities.
- Support bank account and online banking administration tasks, including access maintenance, ACH setup, and account documentation.
- Assist with Central Receipts processing, discrepancy research, and routine Treasury reporting requests.
- Provide routine support to Accounting and Accounts Payable and backup coverage for Treasury operations as needed.
- Perform assigned duties in compliance with documented procedures, internal controls, and record retention requirements.
- Is the backup to Treasury Analysts
- Additional duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellence in Microsoft Office programs (advanced Excel knowledge is a plus)
- Ability to convey issues and problems clearly both in writing and verbally
- Superior organizational and time management skills with ability to meet daily banking deadlines
- Passion to work for a mission driven organization
Education & Experience:
- An associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years of experience in banking or related industry
- Online commercial banking experience is a plus
- Experience working with ACH, wire transfers, Positive Pay, or banking portals.
- Familiarity with Yardi, DocuSign, or Treasury workflow tools a plus
