Weekly Working Hours: 40 hours/week

Shift: Monday-Friday 8 hour days 8am-4:30pm

Provides professional development assessments, solutions, and evaluations for clinical staff in the acute medical units at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. In this role, the individual will do educational onboarding across multiple medicine units, will conduct annual competencies, skills days, and nursing initiates, as well as with policy development and oversight, and collaborating with the 2 other Nursing Profession Development Specialists at Bayview Medical Center. Conducts and disseminates evidence-based best practices across the hospital to enhance patient and family-centered care. Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and evaluates educational programs using adult learning principles to foster continuous professional development and excellence in practice.

Qualifications



  • MSN required - applicants who have matriculated into an MSN progam may be considered
  • Minimum of 5 years' recent acute medical nursing experience required
  • MD or compact RN license required at time of hire
  • CPR certification required


Salary Range: Minimum 47.96/hour - Maximum 74.34/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
